Dave Aizer
Reporter
From the time he realized he'd never play center field for the Yankees, Dave Aizer knew he wanted to be a television host. And from sports, to politics, to pop culture and celebrities ... in the past decade, he's covered it all.
The oldest of three, Dave was born on Staten Island, New York. There he played a lot of sports, fell out a three-story window, broke his nose in McDonalds ... you know, the usual.
At ten, he moved to South Florida and discovered acting. After a memorable turn (at least in his eyes) as Kenickie in Grease, Dave exchanged his T-Birds leather jacket for a blazer and dove into broadcasting.
In college, Dave was the sports director for the University of Miami's radio station, a writer for the school's newspaper and an anchor for their television news show. He double majored in broadcast journalism and psychology AND was the quarterback for his fraternity's football team ... okay, so that's not quite as prestigious as being the school's quarterback but it did get him a free beer once.
After college, Dave worked for Disney at the ESPN Club and for Nickelodeon as the host of their hit show 'SlimeTime Live.' In fact, he's in the Guinness Book of World Records for sliming the most people at one time. Can any other hosts say that?
After stops in LA (where he honed his Improv skills at The Groundlings and his cheese burger eating skills at In N' Out) and Manhattan (where he wrote for TruTV, exec produced and hosted a pilot for Spike, reported for The Onion and dated almost half the women on JDate) Dave returned to his South Florida roots.
There, he hosted 'The Morning Show' - a daily morning show airing from 5-9 am weekdays on South Florida's CW affiliate. On the show, he covered music and movies, all the local sports teams and interviewed everyone from Governor Charlie Crist to Jennifer Lopez to a talking fish mascot.
When he's not interviewing cod, Dave can be found hitting cross court backhands on the tennis court and playing Oasis on his guitar. He loves movies, hates olives and is a Sagittarius.
